Faces of Camp Pinebrook Feature: Introducing Jo

If you have picked up or dropped your child off at Camp Pinebrook, you’ve already met Jo, Unit Head and undeniably one of the friendliest and sweetest staff members at CP.  Working with our campers from early drop off through late pick up and all day long in between, here are some fun facts to know about one of your campers’ faves, Jo:

  1. You can find Jo during the rest of the year working with kids — she works at both the nursery and religious school nearby at Temple Israel Center in White Plains.

  2. When she’s not working with kids, she is busy as mom to Tal (14) and Ben (12) as well as their dogs, Bella and Mr. York.

  3. An avid camp goer herself, Jo was a camper at both day camps and sleepaways, and she has worked as a counselor and camp director at various places before joining the CP Team.

  4. While all the different theme days this summer have their own allure, Jo is particularly excited and enthusiastic about Tie Dye Day!

  5. If Jo had the opportunity, she’d undoubtedly choose Jerry Garcia as the musician (dead or alive) with whom she’d most like to share a meal.  She’d prefer sushi, but she suspects he’d pick something more “earthy crunchy.” Surely they could find a compromise!
