Columbus Day Camp!

On October 14th, when schools closed and the leaves were beginning to fall, Camp Pinebrook opened its door for the first of our Holiday Camps. We welcomed some familiar faces andsome new ones for a day of fun in the fall – and what a day it was!

Campers started the day with nature walks where we learned about the world that we live in from the wonderful Rabbi Ilyse Glickman, and collected things we found for a creature themed collage in art! After art we took the campers outside for some pillow polo and gaga rotations to take advantage of the beautiful weather. It may not have been summer but the sun was shining in full force!

We were lucky enough this year to have Columbus Day fall during Sukkot, so rather than eating in the lunch room campers enjoyed pizza in the Sukkah with Rabbi Jesse. After lunch campers made edible Sukkahs as a desert and finished up the day with some dance, science, and soccer!

Don’t worry if you missed out on the fun this time, Camp Pinebrook is hosting another Holiday Camp on Veterans’ Day (Monday, November 11th). Register now at bit.ly/pinebrookregister or contact ben@camppinebrook.com for more details!
