The Camp Pinebrook LIT Program is designed for teens entering 9th and 10th grades who want the best of both camper and staff worlds. Recognizing that LITs are our future staff, we train our young teens to work with children, under the supervision and tutelage of our Group Leaders. The LIT program also allows for time to enjoy Camp Pinebrook as senior campers, who partake in all the amazing activities we have to offer.
Mornings begin with participation in and leading “Boker Tov.” LITs will take part in a combination of camp activities (athletics, arts, specials), as well as a period(s) each morning dedicate to training that is appropriate and paramount to working with and supervising children.
In the Afternoons, LITs will be paired with a group of younger campers in the afternoons. Each LIT will be under the guidance and supervision of a Group Leader mentor, who will actively engage with them and offer constructive help and feedback throughout the summer, as well as weekly evaluations. The day will end with an LIT swim, together with their Super Senior LIT group.
9th grade LITs who complete an entire summer, will be eligible to work full days with a group, the following summer.
