Camp Pinebrook Core Value: Encouragement

This week at Camp Pinebrook we have been focused on our core value of encouragement. Campers have explored the concept in a variety of ways, from supporting one another in cooking kiwi turtles and painting portraits of heroes in art, to swim and trying new moves in kickboxing and Pillow Polo.

We will conclude our week tomorrow with our Values Olympics, continuing our focus on encouragement. After working together as teams — encouraging participation, celebrating efforts, laughing as always — we will head to our amphitheater for our weekly Camp Pinebrook community Shabbat. Joined by Temple Israel of New Rochelle clergy, we will welcome the sabbath with traditional blessings and songs (plus maybe a few silly favorite songs too, ie “there’s a dinosaur knocking on my door”….). We will enjoy challah and grape juice and get ready to tell our families all about our great week at camp!
